PARLIAMENTARY UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE PAUL GOGGINS MP VISITS EXHIBIT.
Noírín McKinney, Director of Arts Development, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Alan Lewis, Vice Chairman, Northern Ireland Press Photographers Association,  accompanied the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Paul Goggins MP on a special visit to the Out of the Darkness exhibition at the Ormeau Baths Gallery on Thursday 22^nd March 2007.

The photographic exhibition opened to the public on 8^th March and celebrates 40 years of press photography in Northern Ireland. Paul Goggins’ MP visit also coincides with the Arts Council’s announcement that due to popular demand the gallery will be opened to the public for an additional week and will continue until 31^st March.

Noirin McKinney, Director of Arts Development, Arts Council of Northern Ireland said, “With over 4,000 visitors from across Northern Ireland and further a field, the exhibition has been incredibly well received and the feedback has been extremely positive. Hosted by Ormeau Baths Gallery and the Northern Ireland Press Photographers Association, the exhibition captures moments in an extraordinary passage of our history in Northern Ireland ,and has been one that the public really has appreciated.”
