CLEAN SWEEP FOR PACEMAKER


Northern Ireland has triumphed at the National Association of Press Agency awards in London this weekend with Pacemaker Press International photographer Charles McQuillan scooping all of the photographic awards. Charles won first prize in all three categories- News, Features and Sport- and he received his awards from former Daily Star and Sunday Express editor Brian Hitchen. He also collected a commendation in Sport. This is the first time all three categories have been won by a single photographer and the Ballymena man was delighted with his success. 'To have won anything at all would have been an honour but to pick up all of the awards was unbelievable. I still can't quite believe it.' he said.
