23rd April 2003 - Photo Mechanic for Mac updated; Windows version nearing release. Camera Bits this week has announced an update to the Mac version of Photo Mechanic, a Windows version of the image browser that is finally a worthy counterpart to the Mac release and an extra-cost customization service for organizations that need Photo Mechanic tuned to meet the specific requirements of their workflow. 4 April 2003 - Pocket Phojo 2.0 released.
Idruna Software's Pocket Phojo , US$499 software for browsing, editing, captioning and transmitting photos from a Pocket PC device, has been updated to v2.0. Changes include much faster browsing of thumbnails, a clever 100% magnification viewing mode for checking sharpness, additional methods for transferring and transmitting photos and more. An  Idruna press release notes that Pocket PC devices equipped with Pocket Phojo 2.0 are being used by some news organizations covering the war in Iraq.
